WP Remix Theme and Multisite (5 posts)

We are currently looking for a theme that will help manage our website that we have just enabled multisite for. The idea is that we can create subdomains (such as success.domain.com for various purposes like product training, videos, tutorials, etc) much like wordpress.org has codex.wordpress.org for useful information.

Wp Remix looks great because it offers so many page layouts already included, but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck implementing it with 3.0? In particular how does it function with the "network" of sites (subdomains) and can you manage all the subdomains with their Single Use License?

    Much appreciated,
    Justin

A licensing question for a particular theme is probably best directed at the theme authors themselves. :)

Andrea, I have certainly already submitted a request for that from the author, but I was hoping for some more detailed info about the scenario we are trying to solve. Or getting feedback from other community members about their experience with WP Remix and Multisite.

Do you know if the codex.wordpress.org site is managed using Pages or Posts? That's essentially what we are aiming for, with one of our subdomains. The idea is to use WordPress as the overall CMS, and if there are any tips and tricks to make that happen it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Justin

  4. The codex uses MediaWiki software, actually.

I have extremely limited experience with the remix theme. But it was on a network setup, so it does work.

I'd lean more towards creating my own page templates. 99% of themes out there work dandy with multiple sites. You might come across an occasional quirk, but remember - wordpress.com is essentially using multisite.
