• I moved webhosts to MidPhase, upgraded to 2.0.6 and redesigned the look recently, and I finally feel like the blog is just about done.

The Connections theme by Patricia Muller was pretty much perfect, so I didn’t change much of the design. A new header and a little resizing.

I was estatic to find a photo gallery plugin “mygallery” from Thomas Boley so I could integrate it right into the blog. A huge improvement over my previous Coppermine gallery (although the search engines have to find the content all over again). The search bots pick up the titles and descriptions of the photos, even though they don’t appear on the thumbnail pages. Right clicking to “save picture” isn’t so easy anymore which is great when you don’t want hotlinking attempts.

I’m also using these plugins: Addictions from Joey Brooks for the “Currently:” sidebar, Captcha from ProtectWebForm for comments, FireStats from Omry Yadan, Random Quote from Michiel Auerbach, Related Posts from Alexander Malov, Mike Lu & Jon Bourne, WP-UserOnline from GaMerZ, and Yet Another PhotoBlog by J.P. Jarolim for the post pictures.

The only page not working right now is the Links page, because I’m having trouble with the PHP code (put in a support request in the plugin forum). And I need to validate my XHTML and CSS.

Any suggestions, comments, criticisms are welcome. Thanks guys.

    Tricia
