Is there a way to use plugins in regular WP same way as mu-plugins are in WPMU - I mean automagically activated, without user intervention? It would be most usefull thing to have in WP-powered hosting enviroment like the one I'm running.

Even in MU they are activated by "user intervention" - only in that case the user is the main admin of the whole MU install.

I'm well aware of that - but there are no way to duplicate said functionality in WP, I assume?
Oh well, back to good old drawing board...
