I just installed the plugin, and I've searched through my theme files to replace the suggested text with...but, erm, it doesn't exist in any of those files. So I'm not sure if I need to simply add the text, or if something else is wrong entirely.
Either way, the plugin is active on my admin panel but I have no idea how to use it or where to find the options to select how to paginate.

Paginate doesn't seem to be working on my site either. It still shows Older Posts and Newer Posts when I use my search engine. I haven't changed any of the settings. Should I?

Never mind. I read the readme text file and that cleared everything up!
