WP-PageNavi not showing up in Site?

Dear WP-PageNavi Support,

How to get the WP-PageNavi to show up in my site?

The Installation page makes it sound so simple, “all you have to do is to change a couple of lines”.

For starters, I’m currently using the WordPress Default 1.6 theme.

So, I don’t know if the instructions or codes would be different for the above theme or what?

I was also able to get another similar wordpress pagination plugin to work in my site in the past. However, I thought I’d give WP-PageNavi a try cause they have a couple of features that the other does not (i.e. Pages of, First, Last, etc…).

And yes, I did deactivate the previous wordpress pagination plugin and also activated WP-PageNavi’s, did the settings and all.

Thus do anyone have any idea on what could be the source of the problem here? Or have any suggestions on what to look for or what codes or settings I could check or edit, etc?
