[resolved] WP One-Click Install (3 posts)

I'm trying to set up my directory with DreamHost so I can do a One-Click Install for future upgrades of WP. Currently I can't because the original installation used a different URL and was transfered. This is what I'm thinking could work but I need a little help.

So I've backed up my entire http://www.thissavageart.com directory on an external drive. My next step is to delete the entire directory that is on my server (DreamHost). Now in a clean directory (www.thissavageart.com) I will do a One-Click Install (WordPress 2.0.7) from the DreamHost Admin Panel therefore establishing the URL there for future upgrades. Noooooow, I will need to replace some of the newly installed folders and files to get my blog back up and running. Which files do I need to transfer over to the new directory from my backup?

Any help would be great. Thanks all.

    I think you're a bit confused.

Did it the way I explained and transfered the .htaccess file, the wp-content directory and the wp-config.php file to the new version of WP to overwrite the newly installed files. It worked!
