   OK, my host - which I'm trapped into, so no, I can't switch hosts - runs on a Microsoft Server. They are willing to install MySQL for me so I can run wordpress and a php-based forum.

   They don't know if WP or the forum will work, as they've never worked with either before.

   Has anybody here ever worked in this type of setup? Does it work? Is there anything specific or different we need to know or do?
