WP not seeing themes, problems with the code (5 posts)

    Help!
    bad to worse.
Yesterday I uploaded a fresh copy of WP 3.1.2 via FTP because it would not upload automatically.

Then, I installed a new theme (a WooTheme) the same way, because the automatic upload didn't work--I would get the question about writable to the server.

This continued to be a problem with respect to uploading media, a problem I began to work on today.

And somewhere along the way, I got this message:
Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/hydepark/public_html/wp-includes/theme.php on line 519
which has blown up into the following:

Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/hydepark/public_html/wp-includes/theme.php on line 519

Warning: uksort() [function.uksort]: The argument should be an array in /home/hydepark/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-themes-list-table.php on line 49

Warning: array_slice() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /home/hydepark/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-themes-list-table.php on line 56

Now, the admin works, but there is no site, and the WP recognizes no theme, although 2010 and my new WooTheme are still installed.

Any ideas please as to what went wrong and where to go from here?

    Desperate!

    Thanks,

    Rob

PS host is Jagfly, appears to be a unix system. Forgive my ignorance but I am still avidly learning all of this!

I am new to this however, i tried looking up forums for symbols appearing in my posts now. i got a bunch of people saying i had to go into the wp-config.php file however i don't know where that is. if there is anyone that can help me resolve my symbol issue please reply it is very annoying to my readers.

    Hi Knowing,

I can't help you with your symbols problem, but might be able to with your wp-config location.

The way it works for me is to login to my cPanel and then I click on my File Manager. When File Manager opens up, I click on public_html and the list of public_html stuff populates there on the page. There are three main folders to the WordPress software: wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes, and they should be listed there in your public_html. wp-config.php is a file, though, and not a folder; I believe that you will find it in the list of loose files that populate underneath the listing of admin, content, and includes.

I hope this makes enough sense to be useful. It'd be so much easier to draw a picture of where it is; instead I'm stuck with words.

    Good luck to you!
