• I moved my blog to a new web server in May, and everything’s been peachy… except I just realized today that WP isn’t updating my feed xml when I publish a post!

    WTF?!

Any ideas? I deleted the .xml’s for my blog’s feed, and tried publishing something, and WP didn’t create a new xml… bad bad bad.

The URL to my blog is http://www.roestudios.com/b-log/

I’m using Feedburner, but the XML it’s supposed to be getting it’s content from doesn’t work anymore.

What “feed.xml” are you talking about? WordPress generates feeds on the fly, it does not write them to a file.

    Your feed is here: http://roestudios.com/b-log/feed/

But because you are using the Feedburner Feedsmith, I cannot see it properly. Deactivate the feedsmith to verify that your feed looks correct.

And if you had Feedburner looking at some kind of feed.xml file, then you were doing it wrong in the first place. Change Feedburner to look at http://roestudios.com/b-log/feed/ instead.

Blast! atom.xml = movable type leftover

The whole problem was that things were still hanging around from the Movable Type setup I switched from around the same time… too many things going on and I ended up punching in the wrong URL.

Everything’s kosher now. Otto42, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! You’re a saint.
