WP Moved to New Server Problem

    Sorry to sound dumb here, but I read the codex and I still don’t understand what it’s saying.

    The short of my problem.
    1. Moved existing website to new server.
    2. Website is running with existing URL but all pages switch to new server IP address/folder name.
    3. Switched new server IP address/folder name in Admin General Settings to existing URL, but then I got a 500 error. So I switched back.

    What step am I missing to get the website/pages and Admin to resolve to the UPL, and not the new server IP address/folder name?
