• All the documentation on unblocking pages involves creating a “custom field” but how do you do this in a WP Page? I want my home page unblocked but the rest of them blocked so i have clicked block by default, but now i can’t unblock my home page! Help?

  • I’m assuming what you are saying is that you can’t find where to set a Custom Field in the editor window?

Look to the upper right of the screen for “Screen Options” (near the “Help” menu). Pull that down and check the box for “Custom Fields”

This (and much more) is covered in depth in the Users Guide, which is a PDF available here. Look under “Override the Default Setting for Posts.” (I’d refer you to “Override the Default Setting for Pages,” but that refers you back to the section on Posts, as in this particular instance, the steps are the same.)

Thank you so much. I’m a novice at web design and have been self teaching myself for four-five months now and no i didn’t realise that screen options had all this stuff in it! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply and for pointing me in the right direction.

I did try to download the manual last night prior to posting in the forum, but it comes up as a black screen for me – I think my Adobe Reader is having issues. I will try again this morning.

It has worked. Cannot thank you enough cbutlerjr 🙂 I LOVE your plugin. I’m using it in tandem with Cross Registration Integration as i have forums, events calendar and site membership and now they all login using WP-Members. It’s clean and fuss free.
I’m not a huge fan of the form registration layout, but i understand that i could change that if i knew what to do with the css. I will try to solve my adobe issue and read the manual for more pointers.
    Thanks again 🙂

Glad you got it going. I’m going to look at the Cross Registration Integration you mentioned as I’ve had some users asking about different integrations so I’ve been looking for something like that. Thanks for mentioning it.

The table-less form layout is extremely flexible with CSS, should you decide to go that direction. You might also try to less flexible table-based forms by selecting legacy forms in the plugin settings. (They are very generic but they also have minimal CSS that can be used.) There is a pretty in-depth explanation of the options available in a comment I wrote on my blog (scroll down to the response to the first comment). That should give you an overview of the possibilities.

I don’t know how to unblock a single page.

That is covered in the Users Guide, the Quick Start Guide, and the readme
