• Hi all,

I’m running wordpress under php5 on a windows server. I am trying to set up the blog via email, the email accounts are all working correctly via POP (I tested them via telnet and they respond and correctly state the number of new messages).

When I try to run wp-mail.php I get the error below and no other text.

    Error in my_thread_global_end(): 1 threads didn’t exit

Is there some sort of library I have to enable in my php5 installation (I know I had to enable various things to get wordpress running in the frist place).

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Rolf

Had a little look around. I am using the latest PHP and have activated the mysql library, I do see the error on some other pages occassionally. In this instance however the page wot even run correctly.

Thanks for the lead..I am not confident this is it but will try it anyway.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

I tried the mysql.dll for mysql 4.1 and I also downloaded the one for myswl 5.2 from the link in the above post but I am still having the same trouble with wp-mail.php. Incidentally the old php mysql library wouldnt work at all with wordpress 2.2.

Any other ideas..? Could it be something to do with the windows platform..? Are there any other php libraries I should be uncommenting in the php.ini file.?

    Thanks
    Rolf

Could it be something to do with the windows platform..?

That’s the wrong question for me as I am likely to go off on a diatribe about how its just wrong to run Apache/PHP/MySQL on a Windows box. 🙂

Windows was meant for solitaire …and that weird little cannon game.

Seriously, I dont have a clue. If I were you, I would hunt Google, hunt here, and try anything that sounds reasonable.
In the meantime, maybe someone else will stumble past this that knows more.
