wp-login redirect? (5 posts)

OK, a newbie question perhaps, so please forgive me - haven't found a similar post in the archives.
Have downloaded and (apparently) installed WordPress ok. Can access a blog and login as admin to create new categories and users, so things generally seem to function.
I'm having problems getting correctly past the login screen tho'. It seems that wp-login.php redirects to wp-admin, so when I correctly enter id and password, I see a directory listing of wp-admin. Not right, surely?
Either this is an Apache setting problem and I need to tweak something to load index.php as the default page in this directory or there's something else I don;t understand (very likely!).
    Help!
    Running on Mac OS 10.2.
    Thanks
    Paul

I'd say that was it, and isn't it in httpd.conf ?

@batley: In your httpd.conf, you need to make sure that index.php is on the DirectoryIndex line; otherwise Apache doesn't know that it's supposed to loaded index.php when you go to wp-admin/

    Thx for the quick response.
    Yep, it's in httpd.conf.
If I type in the location of wp-admin/index.php directly, I get the same directory listing.
If I then click on index.php, I get redirected to post.php.
Bizarre, but still no wiser as to how to fix it?

    bingo!
Tweaked httpd.conf to include the index.php as a directory listing and now takes me to the post page.
    Thanks for the help!!
