I've been having some serious issues with my installation latelty and my host is telling me I need to upgrade to a VPS if I don't solve this. What is happning is my site (getting only about 600 uniques a day) started eating a bunch of resources on my shared hosting account, eating 168 CPU minutes.
I've tried just about everything. Removing all plugins, using a new theme, doing a nuke and pave and full reinstall. My host now tells me they have narrowed it down to this;
Top Process %CPU 56.0 /usr/bin/php /home/sitename/public_html/wp-login.php
Top Process %CPU 53.0 /usr/bin/php /home/sitename/public_html/wp-login.php
Top Process %CPU 51.0 /usr/bin/php /home/sitename/public_html/wp-login.php
What and why is my login page eating any kind of resource on a server? I'm starting to wonder if I have a SQL injection or something?
Plugins running are;
- Akisment
- Cloudflare
- Facebook publish
- Jetpack
- P3 (plugin performance testing)
- WooDojo
- WordPress Editorial Calendar
- WordPress SEO
- WP-Polls
None of which should be affecting the long page. HELP PLEASE!
