   Started adding security plugins to WP 3.2.1 but after 3 in a row began to fail I logged out thinking I might need to refresh before proceeding. However now WP admin login won't let me back in and is giving me an "unresponsive" type error.

   The last two plugins to load successfully were the following:

   Login Encrypt
   AskApache Password Protect

   Your assistance is greatly appreciated as I am a newbie.

   Reset the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

   Thanks and that exactly did the trick. The culprit turned out to be the AskApache Password Protect plugin which makes changes at the "server" level and causes login problems even a the admin level.

   If anyone installs this plugin you MUST read the installation piece first in order to troubleshoot.
