WP keeps overwriting my htaccess file (5 posts)

I've added one rewrite rule that I need since I updated my permalink structure and I want my old links to still work. For some reason, WP keeps overwriting the file, it seems to me it does it every time I write a post. How can I resolve this?

change the file permissions to your htaccess file to 644.

    It's already 644.

WP is still overwriting my htaccess file but it turns out not every time I post, so something else must be triggering it. If anyone knows what that trigger is I'd appreciate it.

Do you perhaps have frontpage extensions installed on your account?

I had the same as you, after deinstalling the extensions my htaccess hasn't been over written anymore.
    Good luck!
