    FYI: newb here -
I have recently moved to self-hosting and am trying to get everything working. I have 3 registered/hosted domains with GoDaddy; I have MOVED my wp.com site to the new self-hosted GoDaddy account.

I copied the link of that new self-hosted site to insert at my original wordpress.com site to let everyone know I had moved and where to find me.

When I checked the link it did not connect me to site #1, rather, it took me to a second (different) site I have just started/added when I did the GoDaddy stuff.

I was having similar problems yesterday, asking WP/www for site #1 but being delivered to site #2.

Both accounts have the same admin user name, but different passwords. Is that where I screwed up? How do undo?

Help appreciated, and thanks in advance.
    Many thanks.

I had a thought: is it a Safari issue, sending me to site #2 when I type in the address for #1. So I tried with Firefox: same result.

So it must be a WP issue. . . or could it be a GoDaddy issue?

I type the url for site #1 into the address bar at the top of the screen and I am sent to site #2, which was the FIRST site I registered with GoDaddy, and also has the same WP admin name as site #1.

Was that where I went wrong - same admin name? Or do I need to call GoDaddy?

And ideas of my next step would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you, community.

    MrsB2,

It would probably help to have the domain name so we can understand better what you're asking.

Ultimately, you would want your domain name to point to the new hosting account and not the old WordPress.Com site. In this case, you'll want to be sure that your nameservers are set up properly and your domain is pointing only to your hosting account. This article may help: http://go.me/ZM but you can also contact our 24/7 support team and they can look directly at your products with you and see what's actually going on: http://x.co/heretohelp.
