WP installed in subdirectory now loading slowly

Hi, I have wordpress installed in a subdirectory and just set it up (replacing the old html site) so that it appears to be in the root directory following the wordpress instructions on having WP in its own directory. I just tested in IE and Chrome and the site and pages are loading really slowly. Before I made it “live” it loaded quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Here are the urls:
