• My host has moved me to a new server.

    Autoupgrade of WordPress and of plugins, and install new plugins all stall after the unzip message.

    I have done a clean install of a fresh WP 2.9.1 to see if that makes a difference – the install was absolutely fine but again when I try to add a new plugin through the interface it stalls…

    Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.2.1.zip.

    Unpacking the package.

    Installing the plugin.

    [stalls at this point – regardless of plugin chosen]

    Any ideas?

  • You can try and increase PHP memory yourself using one of the methods below.

    In your root .htaccess file, add this line:

    php_value memory_limit 64M

    Or, in your wp-config.php file, try this:

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');
