   How do you put wordpress inside of an existing site without creating a template. I've read up on "the loop" stuff but have failed miserably. I'd like to set up my existing pages to only show one post without comments. I don't need any of the sidebar or footer workings. I'd like code to just paste into the body section of my page.

   If the Loop didn't work for you try this guide http://www.transycan.net/blogtest/2005/07/05/integrate/ although it also requires to copy/paste the Loop. For your case see Scenario #1.
