timkilI've got a big problem with my WordPress site: it's started taking more than 30 seconds to respond to visits to the homepage. When I checked with the hosting company, they said that WordPress is submitting a huge number of queries to the MySQL database.
They sent me the query file; it's 2.3 megabytes, and contains nearly 4,000 SELECTs alone.
They suggested that it's probably a plug-in that's at fault. Can anyone please advise me how to diagnose the problem so I can figure out what's going on?

BTW, some of these were installed by my developer. If you know that any of them are redundant, please let me know so we can deactivate or uninstall them!
