I need to build quickly a website that lays product out like this and static pages like this...I do not need ecomm, but I would like to have the product display as in a catlogue. I have tried Joomla and, as a newbie, I find it hard to use. Can I use WP for this type of site with both static/dynamic pages with rich content (video/advertising) - a CMS?
And any recommendations on extensions that I'll need. I have 10 days to get a site live, so any help would be well appreciated.
Yes, you can use WordPress for all of that. Actually, without using plugins and based on what was seen in the product catalogue page, you can just float the kayak image to the right and then below the main content, add the specs manually. Better yet, use Custom Fields for both the image and the specs which you can then style to taste.

Thanks!! I will try to workout the custom feilds...so far I am having issues making the products look consistent or normalized, like a database or catalogue/ecomm solutions would.
Another quick question: I love the wordPress theme (s) (less the blue maybe), what is the most versatile theme for changing fonts/columns, etc...I have iNove 1.3 by mg12 I LOVE he look but it seems limited. I need maximum customization of the header and footer/columns and VERY VERY clean - a mac type look.
