• Yes, I’ve searched for the answer, but could not find one. Found discussion on it, but no resolution.

I’ve installed the WP Database Backup Manager Plugin and it just won’t recognize my permissions as correct. I’ve set the main WP folder to 777 and I still get the following:

WARNING: Your backup directory is NOT writable! We can not create the backup directory.

    /home/******/public_html/******/

It’s 777, what else am I supposed to do?

Also, while I’m on the subject, is there a danger to having the main folder at 777?

Tried it. No luck. Tells me my folder is not writable. But I again verified and it’s 777.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Is there another backup plugin?

I have the same problem with the “Cache Images” (“Remote Image Caching”) plugin.
