• I installed WP using Fantastico automatically. I’ve now made my first post, and went to preview it, and it’s gone to my host’s message saying this domain is earmarked for one of their clients….same thing happens when I posted the article..I can’t see it, it just takes me to that page. When I set it up I put WP in the root directory, as I didn’t want any extension url.

I thought it was automatic install and ok for beginners…I’m obviously missing something, so I hope it can be fixed. I welcome your input.

  • Is it possible that you have to remove or deactivate the place-holder for your web space before your site will show?

Thank you for your response. I’m not sure how to do that though? Any advice please?

Check in your hosts FAQ section, or give them a call for instructions. Usually when you become a new client, there is a “hold” page in your web directory that needs to be removed or disabled before you upload your content. There should be some information about it in the support section on your hosting company’s web site.

Thank you for your response, this can be closed now as my hosts help me rectify 🙂
