   just installed this plugin, and i thought i had everything setup for a test product - but the product doesn't display at all? just the categories

   n/m didn't have a category for the test product set..

   now i move onto my 2nd question. Is there a way to have a different side bar for the shop page, separate from the blog page.

   I might be mistaken, but I believe this plugin suffers from a lot of problems, including lack of support.

   Always read the comments left by plugin users on the authors website; check any forums and see if comments are answered; see how long the plugin has been around and how often it's updated; search this forum for comments.

   Yeah, there are issues with the plugin...but nothing like they used to be...it's much better now.

   The support forums are much better, and I also offer support at my site.

   richarduk - you are right. Unless you've got some real programming skills and have a ton of time to learn this plugin inside and out, it can be a real pain to get it working properly.

   It is, however, pretty much free - which is a lot cheaper than all the shopping cart software that is licensed out there on the web. I'd rather throw a little cash to a great crew of open source developers than some crew that takes 2% off of every online purchase I secure.
