  • Can you post a few lines more of the error please ?

    I am getting the same error.

    I have just unpacked WP and edited wp-config.php as follows:

    <?php
    // ** MySQL settings ** //
    define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘mublog’); // The name of the database
    define(‘DB_USER’, ‘$id’); // Your MySQL username
    define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, $pw’); // …and password
    define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost’); // 99% chance you won’t need to change this value

    // Change the prefix if you want to have multiple blogs in a single database.
    $table_prefix = ‘wp_’; // example: ‘wp_’ or ‘b2’ or ‘mylogin_’

    // Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the
    // chosen language must be installed to wp-includes/languages.
    // For example, install de.mo to wp-includes/languages and set WPLANG to ‘de’
    // to enable German language support.
    define (‘WPLANG’, ”);

    /* Stop editing */

    define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(__FILE__).’/’);
    require_once(ABSPATH.’wp-settings.php’);
    ?>

    I uploaded all the WP files with the correct structure to www/usr/htdocs on the host server (PowWeb). When executing wp-admin/install.php via Firefox, the following error is shown:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_bloginfo() in /www/usr/htdocs/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 304

    Server config:
    mySQL 4.1.7
    Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7d PowWeb/1.1

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Scratch that folks, DB_HOST was incorrect.

    I have the same problem but all my information is correct. Anyone?

    Okay nevermind I did have the information correct sort of I left out something so small thats what happens when you try to do this at 4am thank you so sorry. (:
