   Hi,

   I read these the following articles about WP DB backups,
   and both articles give different instructions!!

   http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

   Obviously one is probably coorect, and the other is incorrect.

   Question: Which one of these two articles have correct instructions?

   Either one will work, even though the information is a bit different. But if you feel better, use a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/

   The reason I asked the question was that I don't want to use a plugin.

   You said "either will work", that's good.
