Wp-Cron CPU load MediaTemple

Hi

For the past few weeks my blog is being hit by CPU overage charges [GPU in Mediatemple terms]

Ive tried to figure out whats causing it but most its on two issues which I suspect to be solvable

METHOD – PATH – HTTP Response – GPU Minutes used

HEAD – teeth.com.pk/blog/wp-cron.php – 200 – 97.8618
GET – teeth.com.pk/blog/feed – 200 – 48.3938
GET – teeth.com.pk/blog/feed/ – 304 – 23.8283

What might be triggering WP-Cron to rank so highly in the wordrpess – I did not notice this previously and only saw it come with WP 2.7+ I could be wrong

I have Feedburner Feedsmith pointing to Feedburner URL but even then the Feed gets a lot of GPU usage

Any help would be appreciated-
