wp-config.php is not connecting correctly

    I keep getting “Error connecting to database” intermittently.

    This what HostGator told me:

    public_html/dimitriphoto/wp-config.php is not connecting correctly. It either fails when the settings are fine or tries to connect more than 25 times simultaneously for no reason at all.

    Anyone know what the problem could be?
