My wife wrote and a post and saved it. when she went to write another post the site went down. I do not think that the two are related and Godaddy has been no help at all. I have never see this error before and could really use some help. See below.

    Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at two1231809180916.db.10080288.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host's database server is down.

Sounds like an issue with GoDaddy. Writing a post should have no effect on the database username or password, or on the wp-config file. Try calling GoDaddy again - it's hit or miss with their techs.

I've seen it quite a few times with GoDaddy - I doubt there's anything wrong with your database or files. Their server is just having an issue getting the database to connect and it's something they have to fix on their end - Good luck getting someone that can help on their end!

  6. You an always setup a local install of PHP and MySql in a windows environment. It's a little involved... but really fun to do!!

It would let you install a test site on your local environment.. and allow you to install themes, plugins.. etc. Just like the real thing.

My point being... you could test the configuration you have.. since the database is on your local environment. In other words.. you aren't dependent on your hosts hardware.

Anyways.. here's a link on how to get started.

Again... a little tricky... but definitely fun when you have it up and running!
