    Hi
I am trying to install a local version of a WP website already 'on air'. I downloaded the site 'NEW' with FTP, placed the 'NEW' folder in the 'htdocs' folder in my MAMP. (I have several local site running from here.) I have of cause changed user, pass, database name.....
BUT BUT it will not work.

I am receinving this error message (poorly translated from danish):

    Can not select database.

We were able to connect to the databse server (this means that your user og pass are okay), but are not able to connect to the 'NEW' databse.

    Are you sure it exist?
Does the user root have rights to use the 'NEW' database?
On som e system the username is used as a prefix on the database name - could this be the problem?

Can anyone help me solving what is going on?

I believe the database exist (in the htdocs folder)
Don't know if I have the rights - how can I find out?
Tried the prefix - doesn't help.

    PLEASE help me :)
    thanks
