   I currently have podcasts in my blog that are clickable MP3 links. (Was set up this way when the site was in B2...the MP3 files open in a new window and automatically play.)

   I'm trying to configure the WP Audio player, but it doesn't work. The plug in is activated, but it doesn't even seem like the code is responding to it. In HTML view, I've inserted this code into a test blog:

   [audio http://www.michaelgaither.com/podcasts/songs_and_stories97.mp3

   When I view the post, all I see is the text listed above. I've referred to all the info here:

   http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

   Any ideas? Thanks.

   Hey,

   Had the same problem. The issue is that the instructions are not correct. the right way to put the code is with a ":" between the audio and the file.

   so correct, it would be like that:
   [audio:http://www.michaelgaither.com/podcasts/songs_and_stories97.mp3]
