   Hi all,

   My first post and happy to say I got WordPress up and running with no problems. Great instructions. OK, well mostly up and running.
   I did a bit of searching and not really sure what my problem or situation is called. I did my install to my main directory at my host. I have been able to login to the admin page. Made an addition and no errors.
   When I did my install to my main directory I was under the impression that my main page would come up as the default WordPress page. Ultimately this is what I'm after so i can just start my whole site brand new with a consistent theme.
   I followed the instructions verbatim.
   Can I just move a file to replace my original index.php? Or is there a configuraton I did miss somehow? Perfectly willing to start fresh if need be.

   You didn't install WP's own index.php file in the root.
   Rename the old one and upload the WP index file.
