I'm running af WP Multiste, with more than 100 separate sites. I have with succes used the WP MU plugin "Blog Templates" by author "gregsurname" to create almost all sites in WP version 3.0.5 - (Plugins website).
But as I now have updated to WP 3.1.3 suddenly I can't access the wp-admin for all of the sites that have been created with the WP MU plugin "Blog Templates". It's not a problem to actually see the sites, but the second I try to enter the wp-admin, the site simply places a "SEPARATOR1" text behind the URL, and nothing else happens.
Example: trying to access wp-admin in http://www.cgmwp04.dk/hald/ ends up with http://www.cgmwp04.dk/hald/wp-admin/separator1 and a error message saying "The requested page can not be found.." All sites where I haven't used this plugin works perfectly after upgrading to 3.1.3. Can anybody help?

Log in via FTP and rename your plugins and mu-plugins folders. Then try to log in to /wp-admin

    Hi Tim,

Have tried to rename the plugin "blog-templates.php" and the mu-plugin folder. I presume, that I'm not just supposed to overwrite this mu-plugin folder and "blog-templates.php" with the exact same names they already had?
Anyway; Having renamed them in the FTP folder doesn't work... Still can't accec the wp-admin for all sites using the specific plugin. If you have any other ideas I'm eager to hear. Have absolutely no people to ask elsewise, that I haven't already asked bout the problem.

    THX

I solved my own issue ... as it turned out, it was one that I created myself. I had put a snippet of code in (sourced from the internet) that removed the dashboard, which I didn't want my subscribers to see. This appeared to work fine when I was testing it, so I don't know where it went wrong. Anyway, it took "Dashbaord" out of the admin menu list and thus, left the "separator1" as the first thing in the list, which of course doesn't exist as a page. The way I found it was by removing another plugin (thinking it might be the culprit) called Global Hide/Remove Admin bar. That brought the 3.1.3 admin bar bar back and ALL the links on it worked! THEN I could see the problem.

So ... this set of circumstances in unlikely the cause of anyone elses "separator1' problem, but the root cause will be. Something has mucked with the admin menu structure and the first thing in the list is one of those lines that divide the menus, instead of a real menu (usually dashboard).

Sidenote: If you still wanna hide the dashboard, grab the WP Hide Dashboard plugin :)
