I spoke to my web hosting service as to when logging to wp-admin, it redirects it to "domainname.com/wp/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fdomainname.com%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php&reauth=1"

    Not Found

The requested URL /wp/wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/2.2.19 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.19 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at domainname.com Port 80

The hosting provider checked all the files and said that they were all in the correct location on the server but couldn't understand why this was happening. They told me to contact WordPress in hopes someone will have an answer. Can someone help me out?

Is this a new installation or was it working previously?

If it was working previously, has anything been changed, such as the value of the WP_HOME & WP_SITEURL?

What is the url supposed to be?

It's a new install. Originally, I installed WP from the hosting site which was 3.1 version. The wp theme I bought required a 3.2.1. The host suggested I download the latest WP and upload the files. No problem there.

The install ran the and I was able to log in the first time. When I logged out of the dashboard and tried to log back it, it gave me the error and I notice the url was pointing to the wrong area.
