   The "Installers" located in the admin pages of WP3.0.1 aren't doing their job. So when trying to upload a theme (zip file as directed), it says "Installing...." but nothing ever comes of it. Same for when I want to upgrade a plugin from withing admin, it says "Downloading upgrade..." but again nothing ever happens from it. I can do direct FTP manual uploads, but it would be grand if I could use these WP time-saving features. Any suggestions?

   Try adding AddType x-mapp-php5 .phpto the top of your WordPress .htaccess file.
