   I just did a new ftp install of WordPress 3.3 (not an upgrade) on a client's server. After logging in to WordPress, the contents of the WP-Admin directory appear in the browser instead of the dashboard opening. I can access the dashboard by going to /wp-admin/index.php.

   Any thoughts?

   Make sure the server is set to display the index.php page as the default. This is done through your httpd.conf file. I hope this helps!
