WP Admin Bar Doesn't Play Well With Touch Device In WP 3.5

    Wondered if anyone else can confirm this for me.

    The WP admin bar used to be fine on iPhone and iPad, now if you try and navigate to a sub menu so for instance Profile—> View you just CAN’T click on the sub item.

    The admin bar flickers and closes the drop down.

    Never used to happen in 3.4.2, so I guess something has changed.

    Could someone else see if they get the same.

    i have on 3 sites so far.

    What version if iOS are you using to test it with?

    Ahh okay, this may well be a Buddypress issue. Happens only with Buddypress menu items from what I can tell.

    Just pinged JJJ about it, we incorporated http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/20614 into trunk — but it may not be hitting the BuddyPress menus.

    Cool, wow, that thread looks rather complex.

    Yeah somehow that fix isn’t hitting the BP links.

    All of the WP links work well, but there is no access to any of the BP flyouts.

    Keep me posted with what JJJ says. Hopefully we can get this into a manintenence release with a few other minor issues with BP pretty soon.

    @rossagrant have you tried it with Multisite? I’m seeing the same issue, but I’m seeing it in any menu that has a secondary flyout (not just the BP menus). Most of the BP menus fall into this category, but on a Multisite install you also have flyouts for the Dashboard etc. on each individual site under My Sites. Menus like the “+ New” are working fine because they don’t contain any secondary menus, but wherever there are secondary/submenus off of the main dropdown, I get the same glitch.

    Good call. I wasn’t thinking about the flyouts when the patch was written, I’m creating a new ticket to address it in 3.5.1 (hopefully) or 3.6 at the latest.
