Hi team, would appreciate a helping hand or a point in the right direction.

    http://estore.mywellnessresource.com
    WP 2.9.2
    Hostgator

Have just manually installed WP 2.9.2 on the subdomain above. The main domain also has wp installed (2.9.2) which was installed via Fantastico a few months ago.

I have set up a new database and updated the wp-config.php file for the new blog. Everything seems to be installed properly (I'm guessing as I have access to admin and to site), however my new site is not displaying properly. I have tried changing from the default theme to another one but its still not displaying correctly.
I also noticed that the wp admin is not displaying images, e.g there are no theme preview images or the little drop down arrows in the left hand category tabs (Posts, Media, Links, etc)

I'm wondering if files in my main domain could be interfering with the new files in my subdomain and stopping the stylesheets from loading??

Have cleared cache and still getting problem.

    Thoughs?
    Thanks

    Main domain http://mywellnessresource.com

It's highly unlikely to be anything to do with your previous install. I've got a number of domains running multiple installs and I've never had any problems. Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Re-uploaded wp-admin and wp-includes from a fresh download, and unfortunately I am getting the same problem.
Have changed back to the default theme and still looks like some CSS isn't loading properly.

It isn't the browser because my other blog is showing fine. Also viewed the new site in IE8 and it still looks the same (I use FF 3.5)

Seems like it has something specifically to do with images not loading, either in wp admin or in the website (default theme or other).

Also I haven't installed any additional plugins, or added anything at all for that matter. It is simply displaying fresh from wordpress

Your WordPress site looks fine in IE7 and IE8 and FF3.6 It is the default theme.

I opened up the default theme screenshot, and there is a white background behind the post/body of the page, thats what I was using as a reference. I have tried several other themes, including one that I am using on my main domain (Snowblind) and none of them are loading in full. I'm getting text, alt text, some different colors, but there are several theme images (background, header, comment avatar, etc..) which will not load.

My concern is that the wp admin is also not loading or working correctly. No images are loading, e.g. in the Add New Post area, the console or post dashboard or whatever it is called is not displaying images (Show/hide kitchen sink, insert/edit link, etc..), and the Upload/Insert section is showing alt text, not images.
I also tried uploading an image and inserting it into a test post to check it out but it wouldn't let me, just stalled with a blank screen

This is in reference to the subdomain http://estore.mywellnessresource.com not the main domain.

The wp-admin sign in screen is correct. Your images in the theme you are now using are not there (http://estore.mywellnessresource.com/wp-content/themes/snowblind/images/rsstop.png).

I would delete wp-admin and wp-includes (NOT wp-content) and FTP new copies to the server. Somewhere you have missed some files.
