[resolved] wp-admin and other folders not in zip download (2 posts)

just dowloaded and tried to install WordPress 2.9.2 - I have done it before - but after editing wp-config and uploading the complete folder (renamed telecoms_blog)I realised there were no sub-folders. wp-install.php is there in the main folder together with many other individual files but there is no wp-admin or other sub-folders so /wp-admin/install.php is 'not found' and when I try to run .install.php I get "Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/14/**********/htdocs/*******/wp-load.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /homepages/14/**********/htdocs/******/telecoms_blog/install.php on line 18"

    (****** for confidentiality)

Is there something wrong with the download or the way my software unzips it?

When I unzipped the folder I got a message that some files including i.e 'license.txt' already existed. I assumed there were more recent files and chose to overwrite all - in retrospect I expect they were different files which should have been in different sub-folders?

    regards Col

found the problem - my zip program (ZipGenius) was set to ignore the sub-folder structure when unpacking!!! Not sure how that happened but will try to run install now.
