OK, so i was working on a wordpress installation in a sub directory /test and using IP and username to access it.

    eg ipaddress/~user/test/wp-admin

I had made a few changes to get this to work.

So, now I have moved the whole install up to the root directory and gone into phpmyadmin and changed the details for the site url.

problem is, when i go to ipaddress/~user/wp-admin and login now it tries to redirect me a url that contains the /test in it.

I have checked all files for /test and also the database for /test but to no avail.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel) and make sure that you have manually changed both the siteurl and home values.

Thanks, they both were the same. Oddly though now things work :)

    Thanks for the reply!
