[resolved] WP 3.9 Beta 1 and Menu Icons (9 posts)

    Recently installed WP 3.9 Beta for testing, and I noticed that the icons for menu items created in Admin Menu Editor disappeared. Haven't looked deeply to see why, but I thought I'd make a note of it here.

    Try the development version. It looks like WP 3.9 is going to completely replace the old icons with Dashicons (WP 3.8.x had both types available), so you'll probably need to update the icons for your custom menus.

    Works perfectly with the development version. Thank you! One of the best WordPress plugins.

    By the way, I noticed a JavaScript error "TypeError: $link.attr(...) is undefined" on line 60 of menu-highlight-fix.js. It was fixed by changing the line to this:

    if (($link.is('[href]')) && ($link.attr('href').substring(0, 1) == '#')) {

    to prevent the error by checking the link attribute.

    Interesting. Are there really menu links without a href attribute in your admin menu?

    Oops, good point. I looked into it, and found that it was due to my plugin Admin Menu Post List. It inserts additional menu items (list of post titles on hover or open submenu) by first closing the default open <a> tag, resulting in <a></a>. So, I'll try to solve this on my end. Thanks again.

    Ah, I thought it might be something like that. In any case, I'll still add something similar to your suggested fix in the next release to help minimize plugin conflicts.
