Genesis Simple Sidebars
with WP 3.3.2 causes loss of admin panel? (2 posts)

Wanted to give you a heads up that there may be an incompatibility with the “genesis simple sidebars” v1.0 plugin and the most recent WordPress 3.3.2 update.

I had updated our website today, and shortly after doing so I found I could not access the admin interface – the logon at <site>/wp-login.php would display, but upon successful auth I received an HTTP 500 error at <site>/wp-admin/

Upon doing a bit of research, I traced the fault to plugins – disabled all plugins (renamed the plugins dir via SFTP), which restored access to the admin control panel. Upon re-enabling plugins individually, I found that the Genesis Simple Sidebars plugin (I have v1.0.0 installed), upon activation, again caused the admin interface to become inaccessible.
