Hi all,
I have a strange occurance with wordpress 3.3 beta.
Two plugins (which work well with wordpress 3.1.2 show additional editors in the backend of wordpress 3.3 beta
The first time I noticed this was when activating themefusion maintenance mode plugin

The second time a second editor appeared when managing questions in the quizzin plugin

Has there been a change regarding editor handling?
Thanks for the link. Yes, the Editor API enhancement could be the reason. But is this really an enhancement if it is causing problems with other plugins?
Well yeah. It brings in a functionality that a lot of us have been looking for! I'm super excited about it.
I haven't looked into it enough to know what's causing the issue. It could be bad coding in the first place, in terms of various plugins. Which just luckily worked previously.
I can't see WP bringing in a function so that a new editor implementation conflicts with the old outright. (but I may be wrong!)
I can, if there was no other way to do it (which is pursuant to cinematic's comment in the other thread). Backwards compatibility is always desired, but not always possible.
I would email wp-hackers about this, if you're really interested.
Hi ipstenu, I think it would be great if you could email wp-hackers about it (at least to check if there is a way to get around this). And who knows maybe it isn't a big task at all (which I really hope). Thanks in advance!
cinematic - You're the one who wants to know :) That's why I say you should email if you wanna know.
Ok, I will do but whom should I contact? Do you have an email address by any chance? I thougt you are probably in touch with them :-)
Thanks, problem has been solved. Just installed the latest version and everything works well.
