   since upgrading to the newest WP, 3.0.1, my post times are all off. in fact, it seems as if my WP's "brain" is off, in terms of time.

   in general settings, I have it set to NEW YORK time (which is what I'm closest to). However, the times are wrong by 8 hours and change. It shows the following:

   UTC time is 2010-07-31 3:57:45 Local time is 2010-07-30 23:57:45

   but the local NY time is actually 15:57. any ideas?

   Could be a problem with the time on the server. Have you spoken to your hosts about this?

   maybe...?

   it's a shared host (media temple). and if that is the problem, it's something that just happened the other day when i upgraded to 3.0.1. not sure what to do :-\
