I made auto-upgrade from WordPress 2.9.* to WordPress 3.0 last week; based on my Web hosting company's prompt. After upgrading the system, I have problems to use the two most important features in WP Post New page: Post Tags and Publish Date.

Read and followed the instruction of some related topics, did not work. It seems a common problem for other WP developers. Why it is official released to publics?

Any workaround solution or root course fix solution?

Recommend to downgrade back to 2.9.*?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    - increasing the available memory?
