   I know I have another thread open but that is a separate issue about a different site on a different server. I seem to be unlucky O.o

   I read in a closed thread about certain new users registering as subscribers being related to this new attack that's going on just now.

   I checked on one of the other WordPress blogs me and a few folk run and found we had new registrations. Registrations were open briefly for a reason but I have since disabled them.

   The usernames of those who registered were: Adrianq, kevinlockey, MikeWink and Miriam. I noticed a few of those names in the closed thread.

   The thing is...I am already using the latest version (2.8.4). If these guys registered, could they have done any damage in this version? They have since been deleted.

   If you are using 2.8.3 or 2.8.4 the answer is no. You would notice if your site had been hacked because of strange permalinks and a hidden administrator user.

   So I don't need to worry about those accounts now that they've been deleted?
