   Over night, I received two of the "new wordpress blog" messages from one of my sites. Sure enough, the site is looking as if WordPress was never installed. All of the data is intact, including the MySQL database, but WordPress thinks it's not. Any ideas?

   After my initial panic mode response, I dug into the mySQL database and found that the wp_options table had been marked as "crashed." A simple REPAIR TABLE was all that was required to fix the site. The real question now becomes, "What would cause the wp_options table to become damaged in this way?"
