• Don’t really know where to start on this one.

I upgraded yesterday morning, a time error occured when attempting to log into any part of my site. Deleted all my plugins via ftp, the site started working again, in fact this morning I was able to post and view my site fine.

Then this afternoon for no real reason my site would not load again on anypage. I re loaded my backup files and still nothing. The pages of my site simply will not load.

I’m lost with this one so any help would be appreciated, when you try to load my pages it may work and then an hour later it won’t load again.

Can you provide a link to the blog? Also, do you have access to your web server’s error_log file?

Usually blank pages mean that PHP is tossing errors. The last few lines from that log may help narrow it down to find out what’s going on.

Haven’t been able to find the error log but my blog is http://www.seowizz.net/ , if is actually back up at the minute but it returns errors around 50% of the time

Seowizz, there’s this line in your code, I very strongly suspect the culprit is a broken WP-super-cache plugin.

<!– WP Super Cache is installed but broken. The path to wp-cache-phase1.php in wp-content/advanced-cache.php must be fixed! –>

Try to deactivate this plugin and try again, and then reinstall it cleanly 😉

    Thanks sabinou,

Just actually read something about the plug in not being compatible with go daddy servers, there is a work around but I’m going to leave it a few days to see how the site works witout it
    Thanks

I see at the bottom of your HTML the following:

<!-- WP Super Cache is installed but broken. The path to wp-cache-phase1.php in wp-content/advanced-cache.php must be fixed! -->

I might not be seeing the problem due to my getting a cached copy (or not). Can you clear you cache and deactivate WP-Super Cache? This is just for troubleshooting purposes.

Edit: I’m too slow, looks like you beat me to it 🙂

I am having a hard time using 2.8 version of wordpress.org I am not able to use the widgets and also I am not able to edit my format at all for some reason. Can you please help me with this. Thank you.

    naim123,

Just as a diagnostic step, can you deactivate all your plugins? See if that lets you use your widgets and edit your formats.

If that does work, turn them on one at a time until you find out where the problem is.
