I have two blogs. One is pretty standard and the other has a lot of custom work. The custom one was just upgraded to 2.7.1.

However, the Admin appearance does not seem to have changed. In thye standard blog, I have a clean (to me) screen with a column of buttons on the left side Dashboard, Posts, Media, Links, Comments, Appearance, etc. I like that. How can I get that on my customized one?

It seems the customized has retained the same look as the older versions vet it does say that it is 2.71

From what version did you upgrade? You didn’t customise ‘core files’, did you? When you’re on 2.7 or 2.7.1 you should have a significantly different dashboard than before, the one that you describe on the standard blog sounds a lot like it.

The guy who did the custom work came back to me and updated it for me. Thanks
